14.3hh 8 year old mare allrounder

Casey is a very pretty coloured mare. We purchased her last October to hack out on but unfortunately I became ill and have been in hospital from November to March. The doctors have said I shouldn’t ride for at least 6 months, if at all, so we are now looking for a new home for Casey where she can have a job to do. I only got to ride her three times sadly before I fell ill, but she is responsive off the leg and very relaxed in the paddock and has been safe on the road. My daughter, (who lives almost 2 hours away) hasn’t time to ride her frequently for me but has ridden her a few times with no problems and our local yard owner took her out on the roads for us over the winter after having 6 weeks off work and she was fine then too.

She is currently kept on a track system very happily with her pony companion and in her stable when we have heavy rain. She does love a routine and also a friend.

She is perfect with the farrier and has lovely strong feet and goes barefoot. Loves being groomed and happy in or out the stable though she kicks the door for her breakfast!

We don’t know how she is to clip as we have had no need to do so.

She very much deserves a home where she will be loved and have a job to do.

I think a quiet rider who can give her reassurance and confidence would suit her best while she settles back into working again.

She is up to date with worming and farrier and dentist was last October.

We paid much more for her but given she has not been in regular work this winter and is being sold from the field (having no jockey or

ménage) she is being sold as seen, hence her price, which can be negotiable.
