15.2hh or bigger wanted for long term home

15.2hh or bigger horse sought by very experienced home based on a small, private yard in Norfolk.

Not looking for a world beater, and don’t expect to find the next Olympic champion, just seeking a nice horse with a good personality.

Mare or gelding, not at all fussed, but no colts or stallions please, we aren’t set up for them.

Age is unimportant, but must be backed and ridden away, so no babies please, although they are cute we just aren’t looking for a youngster under the age of 4. No maximum age as long as he/she is able to undertake the workload required.

As with age, breed is unimportant, but preferably no full cobs or anything too hairy! And no slight built TBs, must be able to take a five foot nine rider (tall but slim rider)

Will be used predominantly for hacking, so MUST hack alone and in company, and be good in all traffic. Whilst we are in a small village, we do get the odd tractor or lorry that’s lost its way so need something that isn’t going to freak out if we meet one on our travels.

Don’t mind green/fizzy/quirky, happy to put some work in so open to projects as long as it’s safe and sensible. The odd buck now and again isn’t an issue, but absolutely NO rearing or bolting!

Don’t need anything that jumps, other than the odd log out on a hack, we like to keep all four feet on the ground!

Would perhaps like to do some fun clinics, and maybe the odd local show, but this isn’t essential and would just be for fun and a change of scenery.

Happy to consider horses with medical conditions as long as fully disclosed.

Preferably something that is happy to live out 24/7 with our other two horses, however, individual turnout can be sorted and a stable if required.

Must be good in the usual ways (catch/farrier/clip/load etc) we already have one that thinks it’s amusing to see us chasing her around the fields, don’t think we want another one who will join her shenanigans!

Would perhaps suit a horse who is now looking for a slower pace of life.

We are looking for a long term horse, and he/she will want for absolutely nothing. Happy to provide references and for home visits if required.
