Flashy Show Pony

Blue is a 12.2hh, British Riding Pony, aged 17, do not let her age put you off, she is very fit and young minded, she isn’t slowing down any time soon. She is not marish, lifts all 4 feet and will stand to be groomed all day, she is a sweet pony who loves attention. Blue has been part of my family now for 5 years, but sadly jockey has decided football is life, not ponies.

She loves to hack out, she is happy to hack in company or with someone on foot. She is relaxed, happy and chilled out for a child/teen to just hop on and go out for an adventure, my son has often been spotted buckle end no stirrups on a hack.

Blue came to me with no ridden history, I know she was a broodmare for years previous, so everything I’ve done has been from the start with her, and what a willing and wonderful little pony she has been. We have been on pleasure rides, charity events, showing classes and even show jumping. Blue loves to show, she’s a show off and very flashy, she is very much a wow pony and “look at me”.

Blue is a fantastic lead rein pony, she’s not jumpy or spooky, she is quite happy to walk and trot along with a young child on board, and won’t pull the leader around. She will carefully hop over a jump without catapulting her little jockey. She can be lead around and groomed by kids, and loves the attention. She really does mother children, and is very careful around them.

We have found nothing that spooks Blue, she has never bucked, reared, napped etc. She has seen heavy farm machinery, all sorts of farm animals and traffic.

Blue is green in the school off lead rein, she can walk and trot, but does need work on her canter, she gains her confidence in the school with her rider, and I have no doubt that with a capable jockey, she will soon find cantering off lead second nature. She does long rein and lunge, and is off the voice while lunging. She has a wonderful, natural jump, and is very scopey, but has not done much jumping with a rider. Again, I’m confident with a capable rider, she would turn into a fab little jumper.

Blue is quick and flashy, she was bred to be quick and flashy, and lives up to her excellent breeding.

Blue would suit a confident pony club type home, she would make the perfect games pony, or equally a knowledgeable show home to get out her full potential. She would equally very happy to continue being a lead rein pony.

No time wasters or hoof kickers, this is a hard enough decision as it is.

Blue is barefoot, up to date with trimming, dentist and vet.

She is very much a project pony, ready for someone to further her education. I’ve done the basics, now it’s time for some to put their own stamp on her.

Available with her tack and full wardrobe including a custom made bridle, custom made show bridle and fitted saddle.
