Create my profile now!She has extremely low mileage for her age and is essentially a blank canvas for someone to put their own mark on.
I spent many hours with her on the lunge and long reins before breaking her in, she is extremely responsive on the lunge in all paces and has done lots of jumping on the lunge. She was broken in and ridden away very slowly and gently and not rushed. She listens
And understands voice commands on the lunge and knows, for example that the sound “brrrrrr” means canter.
Under saddle she is naturally nicely forward going without being at all fizzy. She doesn’t pull and isn’t strong. She is not a plod because of the warmblood and Arab in her pedigree, which are both sensitive and alert breeds. She is not a novice ride because of this.
I feel a bit guilty for not giving Raven as much ridden work as I should have done after backing her and riding her away - just because I have such a busy life…for this reason only, she rides more like a 4 or 5 year old than an 8 yr old and she really should have been out and seen more things!
This is why she isn’t thousands £££ more. Her pedigree is exceptional.
I bred her, I also bred her mum and I still own her sire (An Arab by Roe Aseel who is also for sale if you look at my other listings) At least 2 of her sires’ full siblings were National showing champions).
Her mum was by Grand Prix Oldenburg dressage sire, Roulette. Her Grandma (who I also owned) was by Stonegrove Ace, a British warmblood Grand Prix dressage sire by the Grand Prix Hannoverian stallion, Akkord.
She would suit an experienced adult or older teenager (15 or over please) looking for a project to mould into a competition or fun horse. Perhaps someone who can’t afford a horse of her pedigree that has been perfectly schooled but is willing to put in the time and hard work to get the horse of their dreams?
Would be an amazing endurance horse or could be schooled for dressage. Could definitely show as extremely beautiful and moves like a dream. Although she is green, she could pretty much could be shaped to do any job. She is not bred to jump but can jump and has jumped courses of cross poles at home and was very willing.
She hacks, is very happy when hacking - although can be a bit snorty (an Arab thing!) in the first half mile, fine with traffic and cantering across fields with groups of horses- she doesn’t get hot-headed and silly.
She works quietly in the school in walk, trot and canter - she doesn’t work in an outline yet, just from lack of training. She has a consistent head carriage and doesn’t shake her head or have any issues. Her outline will come easily with some schooling.
She can occasionally be a little bit sharp if you are stern with her - for example if you hit her with a whip she is so sensitive this would scare her and she would spook sideways and spin quickly. This is only something she has done with me twice, once when I hit her on the bum and once when I flicked her with my reins when she was being sluggish! I do occasionally carry a whip but I don’t use it because of this and because I don’t want her to feel scared.
She Lives in or out with a mixed herd, no vices. Currently shod in front but is good to shoe, she’s just not doing much at the moment!
She is a sensitive mare and needs a quiet, competent experienced rider. She is not a novice ride due to her breeding. She is extremely athletic and flashy!
