Project for a 1 on 1 home

This is an honest advert as this is a very tough decision that I am making. Harvey is looking for his perfect ???? with his perfect partner who can give him everything he needs. He has been with me since he was 18months old, so there is not much that I don't know about him!

He is an eleven year old 16'2 TB x cob with his sire being the racehorse Red Adair (not recorded in his passport). He was a foster foal and bottle fed so he does have a few quirks!

He is looking for a patient, light weight rider who can manage his needs. He had a forelimb injury that was treated December 2022 and at the same time was x-rayed for kissing spine as I was unsure what the issue was. The vet was not concerned with his back x-rays and treated the foreleg lameness. He was signed off as good to go in April 2023 following a steady rehabilitation plan. I also worked on the exercises to build his core and top line up to ensure there were no weaknesses. In December 2023, I rested him him as his saddle was not quite right and causing back issues. I have now started working him again under saddle, mainly schooling and light hacking.

He needs a home where he is the one special horse for his partner. He needs regular exercise and better turnout than I can give him. He is currently stabled 24hrs a day due to where I live. He loves schooling and would make someone a great dressage diva! He enjoys jumping but I have not done much of this under saddle but he loves free-schooling over jumps. He is great on the lunge line and enjoys doing ground work. He will hack out by himself but can get fizzy especially in company, he's probably not a horse to take on funrides! He will throw an over excited buck and throws his head around but never actually reared. He is confident most of the time but can get spooky for no real reason, he just then needs firmness to tell him to get on with his job. He is great in traffic and amazing with gates.

He can be bolshy on the ground when being groomed and led but is no trouble for the farrier or to be clipped.

He is just too much horse for me and I have not got the commitment time to put in to him. I should have parted with him a few years back but I felt too guilty to part with him.
