Hobart Haflingers

Welcome to Hobart Haflingers.

Hobart Haflinger Stud was founded in 2003 by Emily Bambridge and is situated in the beautiful Norfolk countryside on the Blickling Hall estate. Emily has been involved with Haflingers for the last 30 years, having started working with the renowned Oxnead Stud in the early 1980’s. Emily is the current President of the Haflinger Society of Great Britain, a board member of the World Haflinger Sports and Breeding Federation and is a List 1 Judge.

The stud is currently home to two imported Austrian stallions, Alpenstrom and Sultan. All our mares are sourced from Tyrol and have been carefully selected for their strong mare lines, good temperaments and movement. Our primary objective is to breed quality horses that are correct in conformation, have the soundness, trainability and the necessary physical attributes to succeed in their future careers as leisure and sports horses.

We have been very successful in the show ring with our horses taking the highest accolades at our National Breed show, both under saddle and in hand. Sultan as our senior stallion has been a very prolific and successful sire to date, and we hope that Alpenstrom will follow in his shoes.

We have excellent facilities for handling visiting mares during their stay with us, and work closely with our specialist equine vet team to ensure the best care for your mare.
