Stunning Liver chestnut mare looking for forever home, extremely gentle and kind mare. Very loving and easy to handle.

We have owned her for about 6 yrs but I have known this mare all my life so is a very sad sale but we are struggling with grazing, my daughter is now too big for her and she does not have the time to ride with her other sporting commitments and has started her GCSE’s. She deserves to have more time spent with her as she is a wonderful pony and loves to be ridden.

She has just turned 21 yrs old but is full of life and has had an easy life with us and I would like this to continue. She has been my daughter’s pony where she has mainly hacked and had fun on her with some pony club activities and the odd show. She isn’t a first pony as she is responsive to the leg but is an extremely sensible and safe second pony, hard to find type. My daughter was only just 8 yrs old and very small on her when she first got her and she always looked after her. My youngest son rides her on the lead rein and loves her. Hacks out alone or in company, good for ride and lead. She has taught many children to ride over the years.

She has an amazing scope when Jumping my daughter has always been nervous jumping so we have never seen her true potential. She loves to Jump and can get more forward going once she sees a fence.

This is a very gentle amazing mare and only the perfect home will do for her.

She would suit an older small lady looking for a fun safe hack or a child coming of a smaller pony looking for that step up. Our ideal home would be a private home with plenty of grazing where she doesn’t have to fight for food as she is very passive and would easily get pushed off food. She does best on grass, as such lives out but comes into the stable in very bad weather as she can feel the cold and on hot summer days.

She is bare foot at the minute but if in regular road work or Stoney ground will need shoeing, she was previously shod prior to being with us.

Has been around farm machinery on small roads, busy roads, dogs, cows and children. Absolutely amazing to handle my daughter has always done everything with her on her own and my younger boys love to groom her and can lead her to the field.

Good with the vet and farrier and has been clipped prior to been with us.

It is imperative she has her teeth done by an equine dentist at least once a year ideally twice as she had a cracked tooth I had removed a few years back. This needs to be done to grind the opposite teeth down. This will cost you about £100 a year.

Ideally looking for a private home with plenty of grazing, so she can live out and come in when the weather is bad, as she can cough if kept on hay and can have a bit of a cough when you first start riding. She is a much loved pony so will only go to a 5 * knowledgeable home. This is a heartbreaking decision and we have extremely limited time for viewings so please serious enquiries only.
