Reliable 2012 DAF LF45 Horsebox

DAF LF45 160. Lovely to drive. First registered in 2012. Converted to a 3 stall Horsebox in 2018 - 19 and then Covid meant that it didn’t get much use for a couple of years. Has a powerful engine and gives the horses a nice smooth ride.

Tipping cab for easy maintenance, with proper cut through (not a tiny pop hole!) to generous living area with 2 x bench seats with lots of storage underneath, a cupboard and a tack corner with 3 x saddle racks and a bridle rack and spare wheel. Leisure battery for (LED) lights in the living and horse area. Lots of potential to put your stamp on it to suit your preferences & requirements.

The horse area is large and airy, with nothing in front of the horses, and is very well ventilated with 5 opening windows. Always cleaned out after every trip out.

Weighbridge certificate with all mats, spare wheel and partitions left in place = 5560kg with full AdBlue tank & ¾ tank of diesel plus some of my horse related stuff still in the cupboards, so 1,940 kg payload.

MOT expires end of November 2024, has been serviced and not due for another 1100 miles, will be done if it reaches the service date. It has also had all issues sorted out including 2 x new batteries, a battery isolator, and attention to the brake discs, new sensors and wiring, windscreen chip repair, new windscreen wipers. Stored under cover.

I had plans to do lots of things, go to camp and compete etc, but with one thing and another it’s just not happening and I can’t justify keeping it when I’m only going to local venues with one horse.

Measurements (aprox, as using springy tape measure); Horse area is 2.42M wide 2.4M high, 2.9M long so plenty of space. The living is the same height & width, but 3.1M long, so big enough for socialising!
